Liverpool and Sefton Chamber expand team to support events schedule
Liverpool and Sefton Chamber of Commerce has recruited a dedicated International Festival for Business project manager as it ramps up activity in the run-up to the festival.
Richard Daly has been appointed as IFB 2014 Events Project Manager to organise and run a variety of events in association with the summer festival.
The chamber has also appointed Sarah Walker as Events Manager for the organisation.
She was previously at Bench Events and before that The Big Event Group, and has experience of planning and delivering international events, creating event strategies and implementing marketing campaigns.
Richard, whose last events role was with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, also has a broad range of experience in organising and managing events. He has also previously worked at Trinity Mirror and Visit Chester and Cheshire, bringing with him experience of managing internal and external stakeholders, project managing and devising targeted marketing plans.
Chief Executive Officer at the Chamber, Jenny Stewart, said: “Our new recruits will support our ever-growing events programme and their experience is invaluable to the team. Liverpool and Sefton Chamber of Commerce is constantly expanding and Sarah and Richard’s appointments are testament to that growth.
“Our “Get fit for IFB” events running up to the event itself have proved very popular so far and the momentum is really building now from local businesses for the main event. Our high profile two day event at the festival is ‘The Power of the Global Chamber Network’ and is on the 15th – 16thJuly.”
Sarah will focus on the day-to-day member events in both Liverpool and Sefton as well as developing an events programme for 2014. Richard will focus exclusively on IFB matters, such as the “Get fit for IFB” schedule and events during the festival itself.
