Sheffield road technology firm partners with AIG in Irish project
Sheffield based road technology company, The Floow has partnered with AIG in Ireland on a telematics project.
The firm is celebrating its second year anniversary this month following the news.
The Floow was established in 2012 telematics insight for insurers can make vehicles “safer and cheaper for all”and provides solutions to enable insurers and fleet operators to provide ‘actionable insights’ to increase customer loyalty and return on investment.
The organisation is responsible for some of the most advanced and lowest-cost telematics systems in the world, working alongside the likes of AIG; Accenture; Tracker South Africa and Direct Line, amongst others.
The Floow was founded and owned by the management team, and comprises a team of eminent experts from the fields of telematics; computer science; data mining; psychology and automotive.
The University of Sheffield is a minority shareholder in the company, with Fabio Ciravegna, Professor of Language and Knowledge Technologies within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield, a co-founder and a scientific advisor for the business.
Aldo Monteforte, CEO (pictured) of The Floow, commented: “We are very proud of our international success within our field. Over the past two year we have grown from a team of three to 30, employing some of the leading experts in their respective fields.
We operate for clients across the world from our base and home in Sheffield, working to further establish Sheffield as a world leading city, housing world leading organisations.“
