The group owned and operated a number of hotels across the UK, but it is unclear how many specifically Yorkshire jobs were saved.
BDO LLP business restructuring partners, Kim Rayment and Shay Bannon, were appointed Joint Administrators.
Shortly after their appointment, the Joint Administrators secured a sale of the business and assets of the Group to St James’ Hotel Properties Limited, preserving over 550 jobs.
The subsidiary companies that together comprised the Group included; Forest & Glen Limited; Forestdale Hotels Limited; Ardsley House Hotel Limited; Cardacliff Hotels Limited; Parade Hotels (Bath) Limited; Southern Counties Hotels (Southampton) Limited; Forest Park Charter & Shipping Co Limited; Zoffany Hotels Limited
Kim Rayment, BDO business restructuring partner, said: “We are pleased to have concluded the sale of the majority of the business and assets of the Group, preserving over 550 hotel jobs.
“The sale was the best option to secure the future of the business, enabling it to move forward confidently and on a secure financial footing.”
