Flexible Business Interiors takes on over £2 million in projects in Q1 2014

A Manchester-based office fit-out contractor has won more than £2 million worth of projects in the first quarter of 2014.

Flexible Business Interiors (FBI) has been tasked with a comprehensive fit-out for the relocation of Manchester United TV (MUTV) after being selected ahead of five other contractors during the tender process.

It will be responsible for refurbishing the station’s new 12,000 sq ft office suite and control centre at 701 Chester Road in Old Trafford over a 12-week period.

FBI also beat five other companies in a tender process for the Jarden Corporation’s modernisation of 23,000 sq ft of office space in the 5400 Lakeside Cheadle Royal building.

The 18-week project will see FBI carry out a high-end fit out that includes showrooms, office space and international conference rooms, as well as a restaurant and terrace.

In addition to these, the company has taken on another £500k worth of projects for prestigious clients including Reed Recruitment, Chester NHS and the Equalities Commission.

Commenting on the influx of new projects, FBI director Chris Newman said: “It’s been a very busy start to 2014. These are significant wins for FBI, which we are particularly pleased to have won in a competitive tender process against some of the North West’s leading fit-out companies. Our order book for the year looks very strong – and reflects the encouraging signs of a return to health for the regional economy.”
