JLL appointed as Wagamama's sole property adviser in Yorkshire and the North
JLL’s retail & leisure team has won the mandate to advise Wagamama on its restaurant acquisition strategy.
As part of this UK-wide mandate, JLL’s Leeds office is acting as sole property adviser in Yorkshire, the North East and Midlands.
JLL will be working to deliver Wagamama’s goal of acquiring 20 new restaurants a year for the next three years in the UK. The instruction also includes property management, lease advisory, and the asset management of Wagamama’s 107 existing restaurants.
Nick Ferris, director of out of town retail & leisure in JLL’s Leeds office, commented: “Wagamama already has five restaurants trading in Yorkshire and the success of these outlets means further sites are being sought.”
“The wider leisure and restaurant industry is seeing improving trading as people who feel they can’t indulge in big purchases because of economic constraints are buying quick pick me ups, such as meals or a cinema ticket. “
JLL’s Retail & Leisure team advise on over 30 million sq ft of retail and leisure schemes across the UK and transacted over 67 restaurant deals in 2013.
