Merseyside digital creatives attracting visitors to Edinburgh Zoo
Liverpool-based digital creative agency Rippleffect has created a new website to help promote Edinburgh Zoo, to engage new and returning visitors
Rippleffect was appointed by the The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) with a brief to create an entirely new digital presence for the Zoo to generate opportunities for online engagement and merchandise and ticket sales, whilst promoting its conservation work, education and research.
The new website has been designed to work across all platforms and includes a full animal glossary, rich media content about key animals and behind-the-scenes features with the keepers.
The agency’s Creative Director, Hayden Evans, said: “We incorporated modern design and free-flowing architecture on fully responsive templates to ensure the platform offers the ideal experience on every device, including mobile and tablets.
“Exciting new features have been added too, including the dedicated kids’ zone and a full events calendar that features integrated user-friendly online booking.”
Rippleffect will also launch a mobile app for Apple and Android devices, which will include an interactive map fuelled by real-time location tracking, a day planner for events, live webcams and quizzes.
RZSS digital manager Jon-Paul Orsi said: “As well as being a great showcase for our digital content, there are now opportunities for visitors to share their own content through integrated social media channels.
“The new site will make it easier to discover more about the zoo and our conservation work, and make a physical visit the natural next step”.
