Bizspace, David Guest

Bizspace, a Greater Manchester provider of business accommodation, has appointed a new property director to its board.

David Guest, from Chorlton, joins the firm with more than 20 years’ professional experience in commercial property.

The former executive director of Bruntwood will oversee the property and operations team who support the sales team and centre managers across Bizspace’s locations nationwide.

David said:“This role came at a perfect time for me and I am really enjoying being a part of the Bizspace team. The company is dynamic and forward thinking, which certainly makes for an exciting work environment.

Bizspace’s sales and marketing director, Emma Long, added: “We are delighted to welcome David as our latest board member and we are confident that his invaluable knowledge and experience will be a huge benefit, both to Bizspace and our customers.”

Altium, Matt Smith and Thomas Battersby

International investment bank Altium continues to strengthen its UK team following the appointment of Mark Smith as an associate and Thomas Battersby as an analyst.

Smith joins Altium from KPMG where he spent two years as an Associate in its Corporate Finance Infrastructure team. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011 during his three years in KPMG’s audit department.

Battersby joins the firm from investment management and corporate advisory business Seneca Partners, where he spent two years as a corporate finance executive in Manchester, completing the ICAEW Diploma in Corporate Finance in 2013.

Phil Adams, chief executive of Altium, said: “Altium has had a busy start to 2014, and we’ve already seen a significant increase in mandates from the corresponding period last year.

“Our teams continue to grow internationally and we look forward to working with both Mark and Thomas to help support the flow of deal activity in the UK.”

Realm, John Magee and Jacquie Davies

Retail and leisure asset management specialist Realm is delighted to announce the appointment of two new senior members of staff.

John Magee joins Freeport Fleetwood as Centre Manager and Jacquie Davies will be based at the Alderley Edge headquarters to take up a newly created Portfolio Facilities Management role.

Speaking about the appointments, asset management director Angus Fyfe commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming two experienced managers to our business.

“Expansion and development are key to our ongoing success and I know John and Jacquie have key roles to play in helping the business operate more successfully.”
