Wakefield Arena Group adds 25 new jobs to keep up with expansion

A Wakefield print and document management firm has announced the creation of more new jobs in the first half of the year to keep pace with its rapid expansion.

Arena Group has already recruited 15 new members of staff since January, and expects to take on an additional 10 new employees by the end of July.

The latest recruitment drive follows a number of important milestones for the firm so far this year. In February the company announced its expansion into the North East with the opening of a brand new regional office in Stockton-on-Tees, its sixth in the UK.

Arena’s Grantham site also recently moved into larger premises and work is underway to recruit two additional account managers for the site’s regional sales team.

Last month, it was awarded Employer of the Year at the Leeds Apprenticeship Awards for the second year running, in recognition of its continued investment in the training of apprentices. Half of all service engineers currently employed by Arena have completed an apprenticeship programme while working at the company.

Adrian Fitzpatrick, managing director at Arena Group, said: “We’ve seen our most successful first quarter ever; we are not only expanding geographically but diversifying into new sectors. It’s a combination of these factors that are helping to sustain our growth.”

As well as general commercial businesses, the company is working to expand its client base in the education and housing sectors, where it sees huge potential for its own growth and for businesses in these areas to make significant cost savings.

Adrian added: “We’re seeing an increasing number of large, national organisations looking for ways to streamline their business and get people working more efficiently because they know that this will lead to increased productivity and reduced costs.

“Our growth makes us better placed than ever to tender for larger projects and that’s why we need to recruit – our reputation depends on being able to deliver a professional service whatever the size or location of the client.”

The company, which, for the fifth year in a row is lead sponsor of the Jane Tomlinson Mini and Junior fun runs taking place in Leeds and York, counts Leeds Building Society, Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Reed Boardall and JN Bentley among its growing client list.

“We’re looking towards the future and we’re working hard to win and retain new clients. It’s an exciting time for the entire team,” Adrian added.
