The British Franchise Exhibition
The British Franchise Exhibition will offer aspiring entrepreneurs a huge array of business opportunities and information when it takes place at EventCity in Manchester, the second largest exhibition venue outside of London, on 20 & 21 June 2014.
Already the most successful franchise event in the North, the move to EventCity, the established home of several highly successful events, is expected to make attract even more potential business owners to The British Franchise Exhibition. Close to The Trafford Centre, Event City is easily accessible and has ample parking.
There will be a variety of companies at the event providing career and investment opportunities to suit all budgets and interests. A wide range of franchise businesses covering many sectors such as property, home care, technology, food and retail will be there, including McDonald’s, Agency Express, Dream Doors, Mac Tools, Ewemove.com, Mail Boxes Etc and Yo Yo Noodle,
Visitors can have total confidence in the companies they meet, as the exhibition is still the only franchise event in the North endorsed by the British Franchise Association (bfa), the regulatory body for franchising in the UK. This means that all companies exhibiting have met the Association’s code of ethical franchising.
There is also an online booking service which can be accessed through the website www.franchiseinfo.co.uk. Visitors can ensure their time is well spent by planning conversations with brands they particularly want to see in between the sessions they want to attend.
There will be many free features at the exhibition to give visitors valuable information on the process of franchising, with experts also on hand to answer any questions.
Experts at the Finance Clinic, facilitated by Franchise Finance, will offer visitors advice on how to secure finance and explain what they need to do to fulfil the banks’ lending criteria. The key to success in raising finance lies in the business plan and is an essential part of the finance process. Those who bring a business plan along to the event, no matter what stage they are at, will receive free advice on their plan.
Real Franchisee Stories will offer visitors the chance to hear about the realities of making the transition from being employed to working for yourself. A panel of franchisees will reveal true stories, anecdotes and advice, as well as their successes and failures.
The Careers Clinic is another popular feature of the event where visitors can have their skills benchmarked and discuss career opportunities, coming away with a clear, focused and realistic career plan.
The Expert Advice Clinic is staffed by solicitors, accountants, business planners and consultants offering free advice and answering any questions. Appointments can be pre-booked so visitors can avoid disappointment.
There will be a free comprehensive seminar programme taking place across both days of the exhibition, with something on offer for everyone. These include: ‘An introduction to franchising’, ‘Executives in franchising’ and ‘Hands-on franchising.’ Each topic is covered in depth and timetabled to ensure that everyone can attend.
The seminar programme will feature experts from the bfa, members of the legal and finance professions and business advisers, as well as both experienced franchisors and franchisees.
The high-investment seminars are ideal for those who have a large amount of capital to spend on buying a franchise and want to find out how to invest their money wisely. The seminars will discuss which companies are at the top of the market and what makes them stand out as a good investment.
These visitors can also visit the High Investment VIP Lounge. This is an exclusive area that is designed to facilitate conversations in private, comfortable surroundings over complimentary tea and coffee.
The Children’s Activity Centre, run by the award-winning Creation Station, allows children to get creative along with one adult, whilst others can take the opportunity to discover more about franchising.
The British Franchise Exhibition is open 10am – 5pm Friday and 10am – 4pm Saturday.
