Midday Munchies! The Brink launches new and exclusive afternoon tea menu

The Brink has truly gone ‘tea’-total after introducing its new and exclusive afternoon tea menu.

Following the venue’s developments, the popular Parr Street social hub is set to treat its guests to afternoons filled with treats and tranquillity.

In hopes of providing a ‘great British experience’, a diverse array of light bites have been devised by head chef Rob Doyle to accompany the eatery’s fine English tea and popular house blend coffee.

Head of Service Karen Hemmings said: “With tea and coffee being two of the nation’s all-time favourite beverages, we thought it would be a great idea to create four different afternoon tea variations.

“From signature combinations, to tea treats with a twist - our aim is to provide aromatic hot beverages with a range of delicious afternoon nibbles, which are suitable for every one of all ages.”

Those who want to relax and unwind with classic mid-day munchies can opt for the Afternoon Tea, which consists of tea or coffee with a selection of traditional Finger Sandwiches, Warm Scones filled with Double Cream and Strawberry Jam and a section of Miniature Cakes and Pastries. Additionally, guests wanting something a little lighter can select the Cream Tea, which simply features Warm Scones alongside tea or coffee.

For the ultimate indulgence, the Celebration Tea provides the full offerings from the Afternoon Tea option, as well as an Alcohol-Free Champagne Style Cocktail and Fresh Strawberries served with a Luxurious Chocolate Dip.

In order to cater for youngsters, the Kids Afternoon Tea features Ham, Soft Cheese and Strawberry Jam Sandwiches, a selection of Mini Cakes and Chocolate Dipping Strawberries, served with either an Iced Fruit Crushem or Hot Chocolate.

Karen added: “In addition to our wonderful afternoon tea, we have also recently launched our flavoursome new menu, which is set to go down a treat amongst our diners.

“We hope that as a result of the new offerings, we will continue to appeal to both the general public and the recovery community alike.”

Food and beverages are served from 10am to 8:45pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 6:30pm on Sundays. Afternoon tea variations start from as little as £4.95.
