New specifier pack: The ideal fit for UK landlords

As brand new figures reveal that the number of house-hunter inquiries have fallen, and house purchase loans have dropped to their lowest level for 11 months, one underfloor heating provider is launching a new Specifier Pack aimed at giving property investors the edge.

Nottingham based Floor Heating Systems is launching a brand new Specifier Pack, aimed at making underfloor heating installations even easier for investors- Something that could potentially increase the chances of a successful sale.

Considered to be the ideal time to undertake an underfloor heating installation, because such systems offer excellent opportunities in terms of greater design freedom, increased energy savings and ease of installation, many property experts look to invest in such systems but struggle to find the right system for them, or have difficulty in locating the ideal components if fitting it themselves.

The launch of the Varme Specifier Pack will ensure that DIY installers and investors who need some guidance are catered for.

The new pack will include sections for a fully itemised quotation, drawings, proposed element layouts, an element data sheet and a brochure. The new packs were introduced to show the level of detail that Floor Heating Systems go into in every quote, setting them apart from competitors.

According to the Nationwide Building Society, “ We want warm homes – a lack of central heating knocks an average of 9 per cent off a property’s value.“ it also said, “ British homes are among the least energy efficient in Europe, responsible for 27 per cent of the UK’s total carbon emissions.“

Andrew Dye, director of Floor Heating Systems Ltd, said: “In countries such as Germany, it is rare to find a home without underfloor heating. When talking to estate agents, it becomes clear that homes with such energy efficient systems are considered more appealing, and many investors are opting for underfloor heating as a means of keeping them ahead of the competition, especially in a difficult market.

“So far, the new packs have been received very well and our conversion rate shows this, we currently convert around 75% of all quotes received.”
