CRG secures new NHS contracts
St Helens’ CRG has become one of the only healthcare providers to be awarded a place on all three of the temporary healthcare staffing contracts by the Crown Commercial Service (formerly GPS).
The contract, on behalf of the NHS in England and Wales, will allow them to provide agency nursing and social care workers, medical locums and GP locums, as well as allied health professionals to the NHS and all Government bodies that wish to access the frameworks.
In the current climate said the firm, and at a time of Government cut-backs and NHS budget cuts, CRG will offer NHS Trusts and Government bodies value savings on agency fees of up to 27.5%.
This will be for the provision of temporary healthcare staffing support across all three frameworks as a consolidated supply or managed service, with estimated savings in the region of £1 million on current public sector supply if consolidated.
CRG will be working very closely with CCS to identify high spend areas and ‘hot spots’ where demand shortages exist. This will support the Trusts in fulfilling their requirements and driving maximum value savings for the authorities.
The three framework agreements have historically had an amalgamated annual spend value in the region of £800 million across agency nursing and social care workers, medical locums and GP locums and allied health professionals.
They will be delivered by three of CRG’s specialist divisions across the UK – CRG Healthcare, CRG Doctors and CRG Allied Health.
Utilising its valuable place on these framework agreements, CRG will harness current contractual relationships with other Government bodies, through which it supplies vital temporary healthcare staffing or homecare services.
These include the Ministry of Defence and local authorities, providing a holistic managed service approach and driving the maximum potential value savings for authorities.
Ian Munro, CEO of CRG, said: “Once again, these are highly significant contracts for CRG, which has been a successful provider on previous framework agreements since 2003.
“As the supply chain continues to condense, we are delighted to continue to be working in partnership with the Crown Commercial Service to provide vital core healthcare services to the public sector.
“These awards are evidence of CRG’s credentials as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of healthcare professionals and homecare services and we look forward to driving value and efficiency savings to authorities, further extending our service capabilities and recruiting the ‘best of the best’ to support our success.”
CRG is one of the fastest growing national providers of healthcare services and medical staffing solutions in the UK, with an extensive portfolio of clients. It has become the preferred supplier to major public and private sector organisations, including the NHS, MoD, 21 local authorities and charitable organisations.
With an annual turnover estimated to exceed £24 million in 2013/14, CRG is continuing to bring innovative staffing solutions to the healthcare industry.
CRG Doctors, CRG Healthcare and CRG Allied Health are part of the health service provider and recruitment group, which has with 11 divisions and was established in 2000.
