Care company SureCare targets North West for franchising
A care company is targeting the North West for its next franchisees with the potential to create hundreds of new jobs.
SureCare currently has 27 franchises in England, but believes Liverpool, Wirral, Manchester and Chester would be ideal territories for people considering becoming their own bosses.
Budding business owners can buy a full SureCare franchise in order to provide care services regulated by the Care Quality Commission(CQC) including personal care and support and respite care.
Alternatively, they can snap up one of the company’s recently launched micro franchises covering a smaller territory.
Micro franchises – known as SureCare Local – can offer a range of unregulated services including home services such as DIY, gardening and cleaning, as well as babysitting and a mobile crèche service for weddings and other events.
The cost of becoming a SureCare micro franchisee is from £7,000 covering a population of around 100,000 people. This compares to the £28k cost of the full SureCare franchise covering a much wider geographic area.
Anyone becoming a full franchisee would also have the scope to sell up to four micro franchises in its area – meaning it could quickly recoup its own franchise investment.
Gary Farrer, managing director of Chester-headquartered SureCare, said: “We are targeting key areas of the North West of England for our next franchisees because we know from our research that the demand is there for a wide range of services covering both elderly and child care.
“We want to hear from people who may be interested in becoming a full franchisee but also from those who like the idea of becoming their own boss but can only afford the budget of a micro franchise.
“If we can identify the right franchisees in these territories we have the potential to create hundreds of new jobs in the region. Because our company’s head office is in Chester, we are ideally placed to provide the intensive support, training and guidance new franchises require.”
“The care sector is changing rapidly and the requirements of the elderly and working parents juggling childcare have never been greater. This, in turn, means the business opportunities and potential revenue streams are extremely exciting for new franchisees.”
