Warrington’s Assura Group opens newly finished £1.6 million care development
Warrington healthcare property developer and investor Assura Group held the official opening of one of its most recent projects, a £1.6 million medical centre in Harlech, North Wales.
The 7,100 sq ft integrated primary care practice was delivered in partnership with Amcen Cyfyngedig and facilitated the relocation of Ardudwy Health Centre from its former site at Ffordd y Traeth.
The primary care centre is now combined with the Local Health Board, which has taken 546 sq ft in the new premises.
The completion of the new centre was cause for Assura Group to celebrate, as it marked the milestone of the developer’s 200th healthcare centre.
The official event held to mark the opening of the new premises was attended by staff and project stakeholders as well as healthcare leaders from the local community.
Amanda Roddy, development manager at Assura Group, said: “The official opening of the new Ardudwy Health Centre is a remarkable project for its commitment to sustainability and eco-efficiency.
“With NHS guidelines for premises development actively encouraging reduced carbon measures and cuts to energy costs, we are constantly looking for innovative approaches to provide health centres that are kind to the environment.”
The architect on the scheme is WM Design & Architecture Ltd, with the contractor Williams Homes Bala Ltd.
