The Glan Yr Afon traditional Inn in Holywell, Flintshire is on the market

Leisure specialists Fleurets have been instructed by Karen and Chris Wright to market the Glan Yr Afon traditional Inn in Holywell, Flintshire, North Wales. The asking price for the Freehold is £725,000.

Chris and Karen run their own business called “Shed and Fencing World Limited.” They purchased the Glan Yr Afon when it was closed in October 2012 and reopened on 14th December 2012 after a refurbishment. The business has gone so well and in the last 12 months to the year end 31st March 2014 annual turnover was £413,000 with a profit of £122,000. However, this has meant Chris and Karen, who are hands on at the property, do not have sufficient time to concentrate on their original business. They have therefore decided to sell. A new purchaser will be able to build on the business success already established. The Glan Yr Afon is a traditional bar in a series of rooms which provides 50 covers, with a 30-cover restaurant and a public bar with pool and darts area. Another feature of the property is that Chris and Karen spent £42,000 installing an HGD Wood Chip Boiler. This is a scheme backed by the government and they are subsidised with their energy bills. Chris comments that bills are considerably lower than previously.
