Tangerine commissioned to grow brand awareness for scientific services group
Manchester-based Tangerine PR’s B2B team has been appointed by Environmental Scientifics Group (ESG).
The brief for the agency is to create a market leading positioning for the ESG brand that matches its status as the UK’s biggest provider of inspection, testing and compliance services.
ESG, which provides services to more than 5,000 companies across the UK, operates across a broad range of sectors from energy and infrastructure to transport and retail.
With a turnover of £70m, the company has grown significantly, both organically as well as through a number of acquisitions, and is well positioned to increase market share in the short and medium term.
Katherine Kemp, head of marketing and communications at ESG, said: “We offer an incredibly diverse range of services, from forensic laboratory analysis to geotechnical and materials testing, so creating and clearly communicating a strong brand for ESG is essential.
“Knowing the outstanding credentials of Tangerine B2B, I knew that its strategic, insights-driven approach would provide the right solution to reposition the ESG brand.”
Tangerine has developed an integrated communications strategy that focuses on leveraging the expertise across ESG’s key sectors and positions the brand as the go-to expert across all its disciplines.
Sam Gregory, Tangerine B2B’s managing director, said: “ESG operates in an increasingly competitive marketplace, but its heritage, know-how and commitment to investment in innovation single the brand out as the market leader.
“Our job is to develop and implement a campaign that will differentiate the brand, give it an industry leading positioning and communicate its complex offer in an engaging and targeted way.”
ESG is headquartered in Burton-on-Trent and employs more than 1,200 people nationwide.
