Doncaster Dome invests £150k in new indoor children’s zone

A new indoor play zone is due to open at Doncaster Dome next month, after £150k was injected into its development.

The Play Zone, which will officially be named at the opening, following a competition with local schools, will be a brand new feature at the Dome, Doncaster.

Chris Hone, head of commercial development for Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, who manage the town’s leisure venues said: “We are making some improvements to The Dome with the installation of a brand new Play Zone.

“We have been working with four local schools to give pupils a chance to name the new play zone and have now gathered all entries in.

“The winning person will be invited to the opening and we will run a special session for their whole class.

“The Play Zone, which will feature soft play areas, slides, ball pools and interactive games, will be a welcome addition to our leisure offering at the Dome.”

As well as the new play area there will be a new cafe, ice shop and improved reception areas.
