Land Securities' Trinity Leeds secures two new tenants
Land Securities’ Trinity Leeds continues to draw new brands to the city, signing DKNY and KIKO MILANO to the development.
The 1m sq ft (92,900 sq m) shopping centre will be the first location in Leeds for DKNY, the New York-based fashion house. DKNY is opening a 2,265sq ft standalone store on the ground and basement floors of the scheme.
Meanwhile KIKO MILANO, the Milanese cosmetics giant, has taken a prominent 2,000sq ft unit on Albion Street. The new store will be KIKO MILANO’s fifth in the UK and first in the North.
Sabrina Rahim, regional manager for KIKO MILANO said: “We chose Leeds because Trinity Leeds is the most important shopping centre in the north of England and it’s a great base to start our Northern expansion.
“We will do a special city centre fit out for the new store, normally reserved for our flagship stores in capital cities around the world.”
Trinity Leeds has already attracted Victoria’s Secret, Mango, and Armani Exchange to Leeds, together with D&D London’s Crafthouse and Meat Liquor in Trinity Kitchen.
The addition of DKNY and KIKO MILANO brings the number of new brands to the city to 65, cementing the centre’s status as the most significant regional draw to major new brands outside of London.
Gerald Jennings, portfolio director for Land Securities says, “The vibrancy, exciting retail offer and forward--thinking nature of Leeds have been widely noted across the industry in recent years and signings such these will meet the demands of our savvy yet dedicated customer base.
“We are committed to providing them with a unrivalled retail offer in the heart of the city, bringing them shops that would have previously required a two hour train journey to visit.”
