Yorkshire tailors create boardroom to bike track cycling suit following the Tour de France
Following the Tour de France, a Yorkshire tailor has created the ultimate in cycling wear for businessmen.
Rather than lycra cycling shorts and tight fitting t-shirts, Owen Scott Bespoke Tailors, based in Leeds and Huddersfield, has solved the common wardrobe dilemma faced by business commuters by offering an altogether smarter alternative that takes them from bike to boardroom with no change required.
Made with Huddersfield cloth, the revolutionary suit is an ideal composition and construction for wear in extremes of heat and humidity, keeping its shape perfectly.
The suit is finished with Nanobloc, which forms a high performance stain resistance around the fibres of the fabric, meaning the luxury soft feel of the cloth isn’t compromised. Liquids simply bead up and roll off, keeping fabrics looking newer for longer.
Scott Hufton, director at Owen Scott, explains: “Yorkshire was absolutely gripped by the Tour de France and with so many more businessmen taking to their bikes as a result, I wanted to design something that would suit their active lifestyle, which was smart, contemporary and could take them straight to the office environment.
“This suit is new ground for tailoring and ticks all the boxes.” The Owen Scott Tour de France Suit costs £495 and is available in 36 different colour patterns. Visit Owen Scott Tailors, upstairs in Central Arcade, Briggate.
