Rotisserie chicken restaurant seeking to spread wings in Manchester
A new restaurant concept - ‘Bird and Beast’ – which serves premium free range rotisserie chicken at its key ingredient is aiming to rule the roost in Manchester’s dining scene.
Set to open its doors in early 2015 at a Deansgate location, the innovative new 4,000 square foot restaurant will be the second to open this year following the restaurant’s successful launch in Leeds City Centre this May.
The first of its kind to open in the city with a planned investment of over £750,000, features for the new restaurant include a custom-made British rotisserie - a central feature which customers can view as they dine.
To ensure the highest standards, ‘Bird and Beast’ will serve-up free range chickens from Sykes House Farms, in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds.
The birds will be double-marinated overnight in the restaurant’s signature rub, steamed then roasted over cherry wood chips and charcoal on a custom-made rotisserie spit.
The new concept restaurant will be home to a sister lounge bar ‘Bird and Beats’ which will also launch alongside the restaurant in early 2015.
Bird and Beast’s co-director, Jonathan Parkinson, commented: “I’m delighted to announce the launch of the brand new ‘Bird and Beast’ concept in Manchester.
“Premium free-range rotisserie chicken will be our main ingredient and I believe that the simplicity of this new concept in a stylish, modern setting will be a winning formula with Manchester diners.
It’s really important to us that we give that clarity on the origin and provenance of our birds which is something that is not often achieved by many restaurants. We will be offering low cost, high-quality food that doesn’t compromise on flavour.
“The new brand has already been received well by diners in Leeds and we look forward to bringing the concept to Manchester.”
