Leeds accountants relocate after almost doubling workforce and hitting record turnover
Leeds’ Russell Smith Chartered Accountants has expanded to larger offices in the Round Foundry after securing a raft of new clients, posting unprecedented turnover and boosting its team by 44% in the last 12 months.
The 13-strong team, which has moved to 580 by 302 sq ft premises, works with clients spanning creative, IT and digital sectors.
Founded in 2007 by Russell Smith and initially operating from a small office with a team of four, the combined turnover of the firm’s top 20 clients’ is £50 million.
Turnover has risen by 77% from £262k in 2011 to £463k in 2014 with profit marginsreportedly doubling against a ‘brutal’ financial backdrop.
Russell said: “Our trailblazing success looks set to continue with 12 -15 new businesses signing up each month. Outstanding customer service lies at the heart of everything we deliver as a practice which enjoys 95 per cent client retention and operates a 24x7 helpline for its clients.
“Continuing to attract top talent is among our top priorities at this exciting time in our development.”
