Manchester property consultancy bolsters residential portfolio
Manchester-based property consultancy Millson Associates has bolstered its residential portfolio this month, and has been appointed on a number of developments.
The firm has secured planning consent for longstanding client the Nottinghamshire-based housing association Gedling Homes, helping them secure the commission to redevelop a 1980s sheltered housing block into modern extra care dwellings for elderly residents.
The development, situated in Mapperley, Nottinghamshire, will also be part demolished to make way for new outdoor space – a popular decision amongst residents and one that comes following Millson’s intensive consultation programme.
Director Philip Millson said: “We have long worked with Gedling Homes on developments with elderly clientele and the process of proper engagement is imperative in achieving a positive planning outcome.
“I’m delighted that this scheme is underway and that this lovely group of residents are getting the new, spacious homes they need.”
Lynn Clayton, managing director at Gedling Homes added: This scheme will enable older people to enjoy a healthier, active and more independent lifestyle in a modern alternative to the traditional care home. It will also offer Extra Care apartments, the first Extra Care offering in the Gedling borough.“
Further residential work for Millson Associates this month includes work for Seddon Homes and Bolton-based Forrest Ltd.
Millson Associates has offices in Greater Manchester and London and employs 23 members of staff including interior designers, architects and chartered surveyors and project managers.
