North East's largest independent contract cleaning company continues to grow with new appointment
North East cleaning and facilities management company, Maxim FM, continues to strengthen its senior management team with a new and industry recognised, business development appointment.
Paul Pearson joins Maxim as the new Sales Director having accumulated a wealth of experience in the industry holding similar roles with some of the largest facilities management companies in the country.
Commenting on his appointment Paul said: “Maxim FM have some exciting developments planned for the business over the next 12 months including implementing a strategy for national growth. My focus is very much on facilitating this growth by driving and winning new business opportunities and growing the company on a national level. I have a solid history of building sales teams and reshaping sales functions and together with the rest of the management team have some great plans for Maxim’s future.
“With a focus on delivering excellent customer service - which Maxim has a strong industry reputation for - it is important to ensure that we have the correct processes and systems in place to continue carrying out our business to the high standards we pride ourselves on. Maxim has built a strong reputation for putting the needs of the customer first in everything they do and I’m looking forward to combining the company’s core values with my collaborative approach of working with clients to maximise our efforts and deliver value for money.”
So far this year, Maxim has already successfully acquired Ross Cleaning Services, based in Scotland, and the contract cleaning division of South Shields based, New Life Cleaning Systems (North), both within a matter of months. The company has plans for further expansion across the country and is on track to achieve annualised revenues in excess of £5m.

Maxim Facilities Management Ltd was established in 2010 and has now grown to be one of the largest employers in the Sunderland area with over 500 staff. It offers an extensive range of services from large scale contract cleaning of factories and offices through landscape gardening and painting and decorating. The company boasts an impressive client base which includes local authorities, national retailers and large housing associations spread across the UK.
