TWA is double-shortlisted for Lancashire Business Awards

The Write Angle, the leading Lancashire-based marketing communications agency, has been shortlisted for two Lancashire Business Awards.

The company is vying for the title of ‘Best PR & Marketing Agency’, while senior account manager, Katie Beckham, is up for ‘Employee of the Year’.

Run by Downtown In Business, ‘the business club with influence’, the awards seek to recognise excellence within the business community across Lancashire and The Write Angle has been shortlisted alongside some of the most prominent companies and business personalities in the region.

The nominations follow a succesful year for The Write Angle, which has seen the agency win a flurry of new clients, including Lytham-based animal care and nutraceuticals giant, Tangerine, EPoS specialist, Nisyst, chartered accountancy firm, Haworths, Lakeview Rest Homes and Lancashire Sport Partnership.

The Buckshaw Village-based company has also been recruiting and has most recently added its first ever apprentice to the team in the shape of social media apprentice, Emma Templeton.

Managing director, Angela Smith said “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted in the Best PR and Marketing Agency category because we have really demonstrated this year what can be achieved with a driven and talented team, both in terms of winning new business and in gaining results.”

Katie Beckham’s nomination as Employee of the Year follows her five years with The Write Angle, during which time she has both excelled as a PR practitioner and been instrumental in nurturing relationships with a broad portfolio of clients.

Angela added: “Our approach is always to nurture talent and offer members of the team the opportunity to grow professionally and Katie has embraced that with both hands to become a very valued member of the team both by clients and by her colleagues.”

Votes are now being taken for the shortlisted candidates on the Downtown website (www.downtowninbusiness.com/lancashirebusinessawards) and the winners will be announced at a dinner at the Stanley House Hotel on Thursday 13 November 2014.
