TOMA Fund Annual Fundraising Dinner appeals for the region’s support

TOMA Fund, the North East children’s cancer charity, is appealing to the region to support their third annual fundraising dinner by purchasing tickets to the event or donating raffle and auction items.

The prestigious Tiaras and Tuxedos Ball is being held on Saturday 22 November at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel and is guaranteed to be a fun filled and entertaining night out. In addition to a sparkling drinks reception and delicious three course meal guests will be treated to some superb live music plus a few surprises!

For those businesses or organisations that wish to support the event, sponsorship packages are available to suit all budgets and any donations of raffle or auction prizes would be gratefully received. Tables of 10 and 12 are available, with discounts in place to reward group bookings.

Founded by Andrea Thompson in memory of her son Jordan and his cousin Sophie, who both lost their battles with cancer at a tragically young age, the charity supports children, teenagers, young people and their families in the North East and Cumbria who have been affected by a diagnosis of childhood cancer.

Andrea Thompson, Founder and Chief Executive of the TOMA Fund, said, “We have always been incredibly well supported by the local business community and the North East public at our annual fundraising dinner and we’re keen to get as many people on board again for this year’s event. It is a great opportunity to get everyone together to support these brave young people and their families and also celebrate some of the fantastic fundraising that has taken place in the last year.

“We never take any of the support we receive for granted, funds raised at events like these enable us to help hugely deserving families in the region who are going through, what I know from personal experience, is an incredibly tough time.

“We would be incredibly thankful for any donations for raffle or auction prizes to help us achieve our fundraising target. It’s a great night and we’re thrilled that so many people who have attended the gala dinner before are joining us again.”

The TOMA Fund Tiaras and Tuxedos Ball is on Saturday 22 November at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel. Tickets are priced at £50 person. Alternatively, tables of 10 are priced at £470 and tables of 12 are £540.
