How HP flash storage can save your company time and money

Flash storage is an electronic medium of storage that be easily erased and reprogrammed. Market leader HP has launched several new products to revolutionize the changing world of flash storage, while saving businesses time, money and other precious resources.

Earlier this month, HP announced a refreshed portfolio of midrange and flash-optimized HP 3PAR StoreServ systems. Last year, HP gained the highest market share within the worldwide external midrange storage market and was named the top provider of midrange storage area network arrays in EMEA.

The new products include 3PAR File Persona software and the HP 3PAR StoreServ 7440c Converged Flash Array, which provides all-flash performance, unified storage agility, hybrid storage affordability and flat backup of 3PAR StoreServ snapshots to HP StoreOnce Backup managed via HP OneView for VMware vCenter Server.

HP is working hard to create a common foundation across the different parts of the storage stack that can save businesses vital resource and spare administrators the complexity of juggling multiple management interfaces and integration points.

3PAR StoreServ offers businesses a storage system that is optimized for all-flash but not limited to it, by delivering the performance of flash, without compromising resiliency, efficiency or data mobility between storage systems.

Thanks to two new features, HP is “lowering the cost of usable flash storage.” StoreServ customers also have access to a free Flash Advisor toolset allowing them access to their systems and get recommendations about where and how best to deploy flash and the technologies described above.

Canada’s largest and most popular online career site opted for HP 3PAR StoreServ for mission-critical workload. Workopolis’ Kevin Megarry, director of IT said: “Our entire revenue stream comes from our website; high performance is essential, but we also have to control costs. With HP 3PAR StoreServ, our company now has an affordable storage tiering solution with dynamic workload allocation.”
