Dub Jam… A ‘jammin’ investment

Dub Jam, the innovative gourmet Caribbean beach shack experience in London is expanding and searching for investment partners through the crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.

This scalable restaurant bar concept that combines tasty, gourmet Caribbean food with lively rum-bar and reggae-infused cocktails has reached a pivotal point in its growth strategy and is now looking to make the move and expand further. Currently a joint-venture with the world-renowned Adventure bar, Dub Jam is looking to firstly roll out a further eight units across the UK over the next three years and is looking for financial support in order to achieve this.

Launching in the UK in by Founder Dan Einzig who also established ‘Mystery’, the award-winning design agency, Dub Jam is already famous for bringing its Jamaican flair to London¹s Covent Garden. Noticing a gap in the ‘fast casual’ dining market for a Caribbean experience and following thorough research with Pernod Ricard UK, Dub Jam is backed by creative knowledge and a vast understanding of the hospitality sector.

Already projecting a sales turnover of £360k in 2015, Dub Jam is projecting 30% like for like and 300% including new units for the next 12months. With a footfall of 12,500 within the first nine months of trading, Dub Jam already has a loyal following and rates highly on many review sites including Trip advisor However, in order to continue at this level of growth, additional capital is required and Dub Jam has come to a stage in the company¹s lifecycle where further funding is required.

Choosing crowdfunding as the option to raise £450k by April 2015, Dub Jam aims to use this investment to expand its restaurant brand and grow its turnover in excess of £5million. Planning to evolve its high value product range and services, with this increased capital, Dub Jam is also looking to break into the US market and pilot its concept in Los Angeles, with the opportunity for franchises for experienced international operators.

With returns on investment expected to be high, this will enable Dub Jam to increase its share of the ‘fast casual’ dining market. Expansion will focus on high footfall areas shared with other high profile retail outlets, restaurants and bars. Rather than defining its market by socio-demographics, Dub Jam considers the emotive needs and desires of its customer base, something somewhat revolutionary in the sector. With Rum noted as the fastest growing popular spirit in the UK amongst 18-30 year olds, building a brand following this trend is what Dub Jam aims to continue. Dub Jam is listed on Crowd cube, the world’s leading equity crowdfunding site, helping entrepreneurs raise the finance they need to grow
