Liverpool FC and Mecca Bingo Select Q App
Mecca Bingo, one of the UK’s leading bingo operators has selected the UK’s leading mobile ordering platform Q App to trial mobile ordering and payments. The service will initially be trialled at Mecca Croydon and Mecca Southend in the first quarter of 2015.
Hot on the heels of this major trial, Q App was also selected by Liverpool Football Club to provide mobile ordering service at their Anfield stadium.
Q App enhances customer experience and increases efficiency of catering operations by enabling customers to browse the menu, order, pay and specify their location, all from their phone, avoiding the need to queue up for orders.
Fans at Anfield will be able to enjoy speedier pre-match food and beverage and avoid queuing during half time.Mecca Bingo customers will no longer need to go to the bar between Bingo sessions, instead placing their orders from their phones and having them delivered directly to their table.
Mecca Bingo and Liverpool Football Club will benefit further from Q App’s large and rapidly-growing user base that already has Q App installed on their phones, while the high percentage of repeat customers increases the likelihood of rapid customer adoption of this service.
The two new clients join a number of major entertainment and hospitality establishments that already use Q App platform including the Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, a number of sports grounds, theatres, bars, nightclubs, coffee shops and fast food outlets.
Where it has been deployed, Q App has enabled a material increase in the number of orders placed, often exceeding 10%, without any increase in staff, while also helping the venues run promotions in real time and gain valuable insights into each of their customers, including who they are, what they buy, how much they spend and how often they come back.
Serge Taborin, Q App CEO, added: “Q App mobile ordering continues to gain prominence, solving the age-old problem of queuing and providing both the customer and the venue with a range benefits made possible by the smartphone technology. We are truly delighted to be working with Mecca Bingo and Liverpool Football club and look forward to enhancing the customer experience at their respective venues.”
Q App is currently undergoing its Series A funding round to finance its ongoing expansion, having previously been backed by a number of high-profile angel investors including Alex Chesterman (founder/CEO, Zoopla), Paul Ettinger (co-founder, Caffe Nero) and Ed Martin (founder/CEO, ETM Group).
