Liverpool FC partner with Cobra Energy Drink
Liverpool Football Club have announced the launch of a regional partnership with Cobra Energy Drink.
The partnership means that the brand will become the official energy drink of the club in Myanmar.
The news comes after the announcement that the club hadlaunched an ecommerce platform for fans in China as part its expansion across Asia.
The partnership in Myanmar will include a TV advertising campaign featuring the clubs players and Cobra Energy Drink will also run competitions for fans to win official Liverpool FC merchandise.
Chief commercial officer at Liverpool, Billy Hogan, said: “Liverpool Football Club is one of the most popular football clubs in Myanmar, which is very much a nation of football fanatics.
“We’re really excited to partner with Cobra Energy Drink to bring our fans in Myanmar closer to the club.”
Senior country brand manager of Cobra Energy Drink at Cobra Energy Drinks, Lyka C. Frontuna, said: “We’re delighted to be the official energy drink of Liverpool FC in Myanmar for the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season.
“We feel the partnership is a perfect match for us as we share the values of Liverpool FC.
“Liverpool FC is one of the largest global brands and this exclusive partnership demonstrates our commitment to help quench the thirst of football fans in Myanmar by providing new opportunities for fans to watch Barclays Premier League games involving Liverpool, for example.”
