Wirral PR consultant a hit with international music artists
A Wirral-based international PR agent is bringing a world of music to the UK and beyond with help from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
Suki Pardesi is an International PR Consultant who previously worked for Sony Music London and top Entertainment PR agencies in the UK and New York.
The roster of artists she has worked with range from David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Ricky Martin and Will Smith.
Now back in the North West with her new venture, Celebtronic PR, this month sees Suki promoting a new album by a pop artist from Azerbaijan.
Suki set up Celebtronic last year, to support performing artists and their managers internationally, introducing them to new markets and helping them to develop promotional strategies across Europe.
She began working with UKTI North West after attending an event in New Brighton and meeting International Trade Adviser for the Creative Industries Karen Holden.
Celebtronic already has agents established in Germany, Spain, France, Holland, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Turkey and Scandinavia, and Suki’s network continues to expand.
Suki said, “Music is becoming more global and record companies no longer have the budget to really invest in new artists, so my business works closely with the Artists’ Management companies to devise European strategies.
“New artists are now becoming successful via the internet, but in addition a lot of groundwork has to be done in building an Artists profile which is where my international expertise comes in.
“My teams have the knowledge, experience and media relationships within their markets and together we are able to build an Artist’s career from the ground up.
“I was really pleased to be able to work with UKTI during New York Sound City and to be able to access advice and make more contacts – and Karen and her colleague Richard Powell from the British Consulate General in New York are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.”
Karen Holden, International Trade Adviser for UKTI North West said: “The music and film industries are becoming more and more of a global marketplace, and there is plenty of help for people in the creative industries who want to expand their audience.
“People often think of exports in a very traditional sense, as the selling of manufactured goods, but the UK has a long and successful history of promoting creative industries.
“The UK creative industries were worth a record £76.9 billion to the UK economy in 2013, after growing by almost 10 per cent year on year
“The music industry particularly has a strong record of developing content and talent that appeals to a wide range of markets.”
