Bdaily spends the night in Manchester’s Hotel Football
Former footballers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have launched a multi-million pound hotel, Hotel Football and Bdaily was invited to take a look around.
The launch of the hotel comes as the class of ’92 players announced a second hotel project in Manchester had gained planning permission.
Hotel Football is within a stones throw of Manchester United’s grounds and offers a football themed hotel experience for both families and fans.
Bdaily had a tour and spent the night enjoying the fantastic views from the eighth floor and sample the food at Cafe Football.
Greeted by sweets and cold drinks the room was large, well decorated with a spacious bathroom and a fantastic view.
A tour of the hotel with General Manager Stewart Davies revealed a rooftop football pitch, basement sports bar and some of the 60 pieces of excellent art work commissioned from Salford University students.
Stewart Davies said to Bdaily: “On Match Day we have a capacity for 750 people in the sports bar with private entrances for fans and hotel guests.
“We don’t change our prices on Match Day compared to any other day.
“The customer experience is very important to us.
“What we offer is unique, it is such an experience on Match Day, for families, corporates, there is something for everyone.
“Both Hotel Football and Cafe Football are ambitious brands and want to have a presence both nationally and internationally.
“Our rooftop football pitch is part of our commitment to local people, we make sure the space is available to local schools and local football organisations.
“It is also a great party venue for both childrens parties and other events.
Stewart said that the hotel had worked with local colleges and the job centre to employ people in the area. He said: “We want to give young people a chance and have a positive impact, our emphasis is on people.
“The employees have the potential to be the stars of the business and its meaningful to the owners.
“The staff are encouraged to be themselves and not everyone has hospitality experience but the staff are picked for their personality, you can train the hospitality aspects.”
Dinner in Cafe Football followed the tour, with personalised themed food and drinks and the option to visit the old fashioned sweet shop afterwards.
The food was great and really kept within the theme of the hotel and cafe.
