Leeds’ Clipper secures contract with fashion brand Pep & Co

Cipper Logistics plc, an industry leading provider of value-added logistics solutions and e-fulfilment to the blue-chip retailers, announced today the signing of a new contract with Pepkor UK Retail Limited, which owns the fashion brand Pep & Co.

Pepkor UK, which was established in 2014 by former Asda CEO Andy Bond and ex-Bain & Company consultant Mark Elliott, manages corporate activity in the UK in support of the larger Pepkor group - Cape Town-based investment company with retail interests in Africa, Australia and Eastern Europe.

Pep & Co is set to open its first store, in Kettering, Northamptonshire this July and hopes to have 50 outlets up and running by the end of August, selling family fashion and homewares on the high street.

As stated in the new contract, Clipper will provide warehousing, returns management and other logistics services for Pep & Co fashion, accessories and general merchandise from its distribution centre at Swadlincote.

This agreement comes just a month after Clipper embarked on a joint venture with The John Lewis Partnership to provide an array of retail support services from a new distribution facility, and the signing of a long term contract with Fashion Retail S.A.U., a subsidiary of Inditex, which owns the fashion brand Zara.
