North East-based NOF Energy undergoes expansion

North East-based NOF Energy has strengthened its team to meet growth in its membership and its increased activity across the UK and international energy industry.

The business development organisation for oil, gas, nuclear and offshore renewables has seen membership grow substantially in the past 12 months to almost 500 as companies expand their operations or enter the energy sector supply chain.

NOF Energy has bolstered its team with three new appointments across business development, events and administration departments. Joining the team are Jenna Smith, Business Development Assistant; Marie Allan, General Administrator and Nicola Smith, Events & Marketing Administrator.

Now employing 12, NOF Energy provides a suite of specialist services to support members’ ambitions to secure new work in established and emerging energy sector and growing the team is key to ensuring members have access to the best possible business development support available in the market.

Despite the fluctuations in the industry, including the drop in the oil price and uncertainty in the offshore wind sector, demand for NOF Energy’s business support remains exceptionally high with members utilising the organisation’s extensive experience to navigate the evolving energy markets.

Central to its services is a comprehensive programme of networking events, company briefings and conferences.

Its recent national conference, Energy: A Balanced Future, held at Sage Gateshead, was attended by more than 600 delegates and more than 80 exhibitors.The events provide invaluable networking opportunities along with access to key industry figures.

NOF Energy also provides marketing support, industry intelligence and a personalised introduction service to encourage the development of new relationships and inter-member trading.

The newest service offering is ‘Smarter Supply Chains’, which brings together operators, contractors and the wider supply chain to address challenges in the industry at present and to look at ways of collaborating and bringing new ideas to fruition.

Its highly-proactive services have, over recent years, generated in excess of £167 million worth of new contracts for members demonstrating the impact NOF Energy has on members’ businesses.
