Brothers bring eastern experience to Manchester spa
First opened in September 2011 and now under the leadership of brothers Andrew and James Pitayanukul, Manchester’s Bali Health Lounge is a city centre located spa.
Andrew, 26 is Commercial Director and has a first class honours graduate from Oxford.
His brother James, 29 has a degree from the London School of Economics and a background in financial services, he is the company’s Head of Development.
British born, the brothers’ of Hong Kong and Thai origin, were inspired by their Eastern background and familiarity with massage therapy.
They saw the potential gap in the market for affordable, high quality spa treatments in a city centre location.
The company now employs 16 people including therapists, hosts and a spa manager.
The brothers spoke to Bdaily, they said: “We focus very much on the quality of the treatment and we encourage regular massage as part of a healthy lifestyle.
“We have launched a membership programme recently to encourage regular massage.
“We find a good massage always makes a customer happy, so for us, it is very easy to have customers leaving with a smile and feeling better.
“Our company purpose is to help all people live a healthier lifestyle with less stress, more relaxation and lasting wellness.
“We do this through our values of always caring, always doing our best, developing trust between our team and our customers, always striving to learn and improve and finally to always bring positivity in everything we do.”
Andrew spoke of their plans to expand, he said: “In the short term, we want Bali Health Lounge to be the go-to place in Manchester to de-stress and relax.
“And most importantly, a place where they go on a regular basis as that’s the only way to get the full health benefits!
“Long term, we would love to educate the whole of the UK about the health benefits of massage and facial therapy and roll out Bali Health Lounges countrywide.
“Imagine a world where people had massages and facials for the health benefits just like they use gyms today.
