People behind the code - An insight into working life at Scott Logic

This week, software consultancy, Scott Logic have provided potential new recruits with an insight into working life at the company, with the publication of a number of ‘A Day in the Life’ employee stories. Companies can find it difficult to get across the “real” personality or culture of their company and what better way to do this than through employees’ own words.

The results of the ‘Day in the Life’ stories allows potential new recruits to get up close and personal with the company’s variety of software developer roles including Graduate Developer, Developer, Senior Developer, Lead Developer, Technical Architect, Head of Development, Test Engineer and Lead Test Engineer.

“We’ve grown steadily over the past 10 years and as most companies often experience, the real people and their stories can be lost behind traditional corporate content used on company websites. The response we received from our staff was amazing and their stories clearly communicate what it’s really like to work at Scott Logic,” said John Wright, Recruitment Manager at Scott Logic.

Scott Logic have a number of software developer and tester roles across their four offices, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Bristol and London. With serious expansion plans to grow their workforce by 50% in 2015 they are using these employee stories to bring to life what daily life is like for each of the varied roles within the business. As a result of the success of these responses from staff, the company are planning similar stories for other roles within the business.
