HSL Chairs launch free ‘Home Consultation Service’
Dewsbury-based HSL Chairs has launched a new free ‘Home Consultation Service’, which brings the services of HSL’s in-store Comfort Specialists to the homes of customers who are unable to visit their local store, due to health or mobility problems.
Two HSL Comfort Specialists will visit a customer’s home as part of the new service, offering them advice and guidance on the type of furniture a customer may require, including assessing the best chair size and fit depending on an individual’s health and lifestyle requirements.
Julie Jennings, HSL’s consultant Occupational Therapist, has carried out intensive ‘Seating Matters’ training with all 180 of HSL’s in-store staff so they have the knowledge on the latest advice and guidance on understanding good posture, correct seating positions and supportive transfer in and out of a chair.
HSL, the UK’s largest back care furniture specialist, has been producing comfort furniture for more than 40 years, but the firm recently sa an increasing level of enquiries from people who were unable to visit the store but wanted to experience the look and feel of the furniture before making a decision to buy.
Chris Hudson, managing director at HSL, said: “At HSL we always aim to provide the highest-quality furniture to make life more comfortable for the over 50s, but for our more elderly customers, or those who struggle with their health, we know it can be hard for them to get into store to experience the products first hand. Integrity is key to us - we will never make our customers feel pressured to buy anything just because they have arranged for us to visit.
“With this in mind, none of our staff are paid commission, they are all CRB checked and wear visible identity badges. There is absolutely no pressure selling and our prices are fully transparent; they are exactly the same whether purchased in-store, online or in the home, and are clearly laid out on our website and in the catalogue.
