Xercise4Less Head PT tries out the new equiptment.

Xercise4Less provides £14k boost for Kirkstall gym

Yorkshire-based budget gym operator, Xercise4Less, has installed over £14k worth of new equipment in its Kirkstall Road gym in Leeds.

The new equipment features four state-of-the-art Exigo Pro Rack training systems

and follows £500k worth of investment that has already been ploughed into its Leeds-based operation by the budget gym operator.

Xercise4Less’ investment in its UK operations is now over £4.3m so far this year, with a further £20m budgeted for openings and re-investments toawards the end of the year.

Stuart Perrin, CEO of Xercise4Less, said: “The only ‘budget’ feature of Xercise4Less is our membership prices; the quality of the facilities in each of our gyms however, is second to none.

“Continued investment such as this are in line with our overall growth strategy and aggressive expansion plan. As we continue to open new gyms and extend our business footprint, we will maintain investment in our current gym estate to guarantee the high standards our customers demand and which we continually surpass.”

Xercise4Less invested in new following feedback from members and will allow them to employ compound training exercises used by Olympic weightlifters and in power lifting circuits.

Max Physic, head personal trainer, said: “The new equipment will provide a real benefit to our clients and help them achieve a more effective workout; completing moves like deadlifts, squats, clean and press, pull ups, clean and jerk and clean and snatch, with much greater efficiency.

“These compound moves are important for fitness professionals because they incorporate multiple joints and muscles and lay the foundation for the rest of their training, helping them to develop a solid core.”

Xercise4Less now has 28 clubs operating across the UK with 210,100 members and is set to launch up to 30 more clubs by the end of the year. The chain operates across the UK in regions including the North East, Yorkshire, North West and the Midlands.
