Liverpool International Music Festival confirms title sponsor

Red Square Vodka, which is produced by Merseyside-based drinks company Halewood International, has been unveiled as the title sponsor for this year’s Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF).

Halewood International’s branding will feature heavily at the event when it is held in Sefton Park next month. The deal follows on from the drinks company’s sponsorship of the Grand National earlier this year.

The deputy chairman of Halewood International, Peter Eaton Snr., said of the sponsorship: “Halewood International are very pleased and excited about this new partnership with Liverpool International Music Festival. It’s a fantastic music event and as a local business is something we’re proud to be involved in.

“The partnership presents a perfect opportunity to kick off the new campaign for our Red Square Vodka brand and gives the people of Liverpool a fantastic experience whilst witnessing spectacular performances from globally renowned acts.”

He added: “We are looking forward to working closely with the team at LIMF and being part of a unique and fun experience for the music fans visiting this year’s event.”

Halewood International, which is based just off the M62 motorway, also makes Lamb’s Navy Rum and Crabbie’s ginger beer, and is the distributer of Chinese lager Tsingtao in the UK and Ireland.

Liverpool’s mayor, Joe Anderson, commented: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Halewood International who will be providing a great deal of support for LIMF 2015.

“Halewood International are a respected local company who were very keen to be involved in the music festival and it’s brilliant that the private sector see and understand the benefit that free events like this bring to residents and to the local economy.

Speaking further, he said: “With support like this from Halewood we will be able to take the festival to the next level and ensure Liverpool’s global reputation for free outdoor and accessible events grows.”
