Tunbridge Wells FC announces three-year stadium sponsorship deal

The Culverden, the home of Tunbridge Wells FC, has a new name after the club agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with Salomons,

The ground was re-named The Culverden, sponsored by the Southborough-based events centre, ahead of the club’s first Southern Counties East League home match of the season, the local derby against Sevenoaks.

Tunbridge Wells FC agreed a three-year sponsorship deal worth £15,000 with Salomons and its associated local businesses So Magazine, the Times of Tunbridge Wells, One Warwick Park Hotel and the Next Dimension Gymnastic Academy.

Club Chairman Clive Maynard said: “The sponsorship gives us the opportunity to push on and build a squad capable of fighting for promotion,”

“Our aim is to reach the Ryman League as soon as possible. The ground has been graded as being ready for the step up to it, and this new deal gives us great encouragement going in to the new season.”

Andrew Daniells, operations manager of Salomons, said: “A strong, successful football club is at the heart of many communities and we are excited to be linking up with our local side in this way.

“We recognise that the name The Culverden is dear to the club’s supporters and we were keen for it to live on. We are very pleased to have our own name attached to it.

“We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Tunbridge Wells FC.”
