Green services company Glendale forecasts record turnover

Lancashire green services provider Glendale is on track for a record turnover increase of more than 650% for its northern contract.

Chorley-based Glendale’s North West Estates has forecast turnover at the end of the current financial year to reach £630,021, in comparison to £82,836 the year previous.

Since January 2015, the number of staff hired to work on the contract has risen from five to 34. In 2016, the firm is expecting its turnover to pass the £1m mark

Glendale contract manager Dave Barkley said: “The North West Estates team has worked flat out for the past six months, pricing and tendering for as much work in the region as we could.

“This is just the start for North West Estates and our long-term plan is to consolidate our current position, continue to maintain the excellent service we provide to our clients, and continue to grow.”

Established by Glendale five years ago, North West Estates started off carrying out ground maintenance works for small-term contracts before taking on a number of larger, formal contracts, including one with the Forestry Commission.

While North West Estates originally covered Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Lancashire only, today it works in 326 areas across the North.
