Lancashire firm Utiligroup appointed by ‘challenger’ supplier

Software firm Utiligroup has been appointed by energy supplier Future Energy help with the delivery of improved customer communications across the North East.

The deal saw Chorley-based Utiligroup provide Future Energy with its Supplier in a Box software along with managed services, allowing the energy firm to offer a more transparent billing process and target ongoing growth.

Utiligroup’s CEO, Matthew Hirst, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed by Future Energy, as it aims to bring benefits to the consumer in the form of cheaper, more transparent bills which are easy to understand.

“Our platform and services will enable Future Energy to provide the best level of service to its customers.”

He added: “There are some exciting new entrants in the energy sector who are changing the face of the industry with a strong community focus. We’re committed to helping Future Energy grow and develop in the industry and become a major player.”

Future Energy is set to go live later this month. The deal is one of a number of ‘challenger’ companies in Utiligroup’s portfolio of clients. To date, the firm claims to have enabled more than 20 new companies to break into the energy supply industry.
