Superfast South Yorkshire enhances Rotherham online mirror store

One of the UK’s largest online mirrors stores is to become on of the first companies in South Yorkshire to upgrade to superfast fibre broadband provided by Superfast South Yorkshire.

Exclusive Mirrors has utilized the newly upgraded Dinnington broadband cabinet to save up to £1k each year.

After battling poor broadband connection since establishing the business in South Yorkshire, Exclusive Mirrors will now take advantage of a faster more reliable service enabling it to become much more productive.

The ecommerce company is heavily reliant on the speed of broadband as it uses VOIP phone systems and several other cloud based technologies.

Exclusive Mirrors were only able to request for a faster broadband connection due to Superfast South Yorkshire; a partnership of the four South Yorkshire local authorities working in partnership with BT to roll out superfast broadband across South Yorkshire.

Superfast South Yorkshire has successfully installed fibre to the local cabinet in Dinnington, delivering speeds of up to 80Mbps, offering opportunities for local business like Exclusive Mirrors to receive a faster more reliable broadband service.

In September 2014, South Yorkshire joined forces with BT in a £22m deal to extend the availability of high-speed, fibre broadband to around 98% of homes and businesses in the city region. The project is jointly funded by the Sheffield City Region, the Government’s Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) fund and BT.

Stuart Morgan, Exclusive Mirrors director, said: “I am delighted with the recent news of the upgrade of my local Dinnington cabinet; we had to use three broadband connections which was a significant annual fee. Now with the superfast fibre broadband I am able to use just one broadband connection saving me nearly £1,000 a year.

“I think the initiatives of Superfast South Yorkshire are opening up fantastic opportunities for local businesses in the Yorkshire area and are allowing us to become more competitive in UK markets and specifically helping us to interact more effectively with our customers.”
