Former Manchester City keeper in safe hands with Winchester Car Sales
South Yorkshire-based used car dealer, Winchester Car Sales, is now the official sponsor of Rotherham United’s goalkeeping coach.
The family-run business, based on Herries Road South in Sheffield, has announced its sponsorship of former Manchester City goalkeeper Andy Dibble.
Andy, a former Wales international, has been professional football player since 1982, playing for a total of 16 clubs including Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough.
Following his retirement from playing in 2008 while at Accrington Stanley, he then became Rotherham United’s goalkeeping coach.
Andy has since held coaching roles at Coventry City and Peterborough United, before joining Rotherham in 2010.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Andy said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to be sponsored by a well-renowned local company such as Winchester Car Sales.
“I’m delighted to be sponsored by a family-friendly business that is supporting local sport.”
Tajinder Singh, director of Winchester Car Sales, said: “This sponsorship of one of the region’s top goalkeeping coaches comes off the back of our continued effort to expand our support of South Yorkshire’s professional sports clubs.
“It was a pleasure meeting Andy and we look forward to our partnership with him; we will soon be revealing a scheme to help Rotherham fans save money supporting their team. As a company, we pride ourselves on working with the local community and we hope this helps fans at a time when following your team can be expensive.
Winchester Car Sales, which has been trading since 1996, offers quality affordable cars to suit all budgets and can source any car desired from their network of contacts.
