Yorkshire hobbyists find space solutions
With the rising house prices, space for hobby rooms is at a premium across Yorkshire.
These days it costs big money to be a budding photographer or artist and finding space to create the next garage band has become almost impossible with home owners looking to turn every spare bit of space into a profit turning spare bedroom. But McCarthys Storage Space in Leeds and Wakefield are offering a viable alternative to this growing problem; Utilise a Storage room.
Their latest campaign shows 25 different uses for their storage rooms and some of them are viable alternatives to squeezing your hobby in the junk room. Some of the suggestions range from the fantastic to the outright ridiculous, but with the ability to add electricity to their rooms they offer a fantastic alternative at around £10 a week.
Mike McCarthy, Managing Director of McCarthys said “Although 90% of our customers use the spaces to store goods securely, we get a few customers who are more creative with their spaces. We’ve had people running start up businesses from the lockers and we are more than happy to oblige. They offer a great alternative to the expense of desk space in the city centre that start-ups just can’t afford.
We can hook them up with electricity so we don’t see any reason why our storage spaces can’t be used for band practice, an art studio or even a youtube film studio.“
The company is encouraging their followers to share what they would store in the lockers across social media and are offering to try to help customers out if they have any special requests for a hobby room.
