Furniture component company Suscom to expand with NatWest support

Suscom Industries Ltd, a supplier of office furniture components, is expanding its premises in an effort to boost its manufacturing capabilities.

The Wigan-based firm is increasing its space and taking on new staff, after support from NatWest and asset finance company Lombard allowed it to acquire additional machinery.

Suscom’s business development director, Tino Tartaglione, said: “We are investing in the business so we can bring some of the manufacturing that is undertaken by Suscom back to the UK instead of relying on imports from overseas.

“Not only will this create jobs locally and aid the local economy, but it also allows for us to better manage operations and offer a more efficient service to our customers.”

Tino added: “There are also other areas we want to develop as a business beyond creating furniture and the expansion will enable us to do so.”

When it required the finance to support its growth ambitions, the firm turned to Lorrayne Saunderson, a relationship director with NatWest. Working in partnership with Lombard, Lorrayne helped Suscom obtain a loan to provide funding for the new machinery.

Lorrayne commented: “I was delighted to support Suscom with its expansion. The business has a clear growth strategy that will support the local economy and I wish it every success for the future.”

Operating from the Lamberhead Industrial Estate in Pemberton, Suscom manufactures and supplies office furniture components such as chair mechanisms, seats, backs, arm rests and footings.
