Council provides support scheme for Enfield businesses
Enfield businesses received a boost last week with the launch of ‘Town Teams’.
Five teams, which will be staffed by business professionals, will be set up to oversee major shopping areas in the borough.
They will take any queries, issues or questions local businesses may have about setting up a business or running a company of any size in the London Borough of Enfield.
Enfield Council has taken these steps in response to the business community’s request for better support, both in real terms and on-line tools.
In addition, local businesses have been encouraged to get involved with new plans to make Enfield a top shopping destination, and an area boasting a thriving night-time economy.
Cllr Alan Sitkin, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration & Business Development,, said: “The Town Teams and new portal are great resources for local businesses, giving them free professional help and advice about every aspect of setting up and maintaining a company of any size in our borough.
“Enfield is a thriving place for companies of all sizes – indeed they are the very foundation of our economy. The Council is always looking to improve the trading environment in our borough, and this is why we always actively seek input from the business community.
“The new Town Teams and portal are resources that will help companies to remain viable while encouraging more entrepreneurs to start up in Enfield.”
