Talent influx from Eight Roads Ventures
Eight Roads Ventures has announced the appointment two new team members in London. Michael Stephanblome joins as a venture partner and Lucile Cornet as a senior associate. These appointments follow a period of intense activity at Eight Roads Ventures, with the close of a £150 million fund, the successful exit from Wahanda and the confirmation of several investments in the past six months including Made.com, TakeEatEasy, PackLink and More2.
Michael Stephanblome is a successful CEO and entrepreneur (Adjug, Typeless) who has held executive roles with both eBay and Gumtree. At Eight Roads Ventures, he will use his operational experience to support entrepreneurs and utilise his extensive network to identify potential investment opportunities.
Lucile Cornet, a French native, joins from Summit Partners, where she focused on growth equity investments. In her role at Eight Roads Ventures she will draw upon her knowledge of payments and financial services to focus on FinTech. She will also spend time in Paris and the increasingly vibrant French tech eco-system.
Davor Hebel, partner, Eight Roads Ventures said: “We are thrilled that Michael and Lucile are joining the team, they are both passionate about our vision to drive European technology businesses to be true global leaders and want to be part of this exciting chapter. Our team has built significant momentum in the last six months and these appointments will increase our capacity to not only identify those with potential, but also to provide advice as they continue to build their businesses.”
