Manchester agency 422 Shoots collaborates with Hollywood director
Production services agency 422 Shoots has worked with Gus Van Sant, the man behind the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, to create two UK TV adverts for social media giant Facebook.
Manchester-based 422 Shoots worked on location with the director and his production firm, Iconoclast, in Liverpool, Manchester and London to provide lighting, on-set technical support and location-scouting services.
Van Sant, who received an Academy Award nomination for his film Good Will Hunting, which starred actors Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Robin Williams, directed the two commercials.
The North service producer for 422 Shoots, Eileen Gartside, said: “It was a honour to work with such a celebrated director like Gus Van Sant for such as well known brand like Facebook.
“The brief was incredibly ambitious with a breadth of creative and dramatic projects included.”
She added: “The entire team worked hard to ensure it all remained on track and everyone is extremely pleased with the final commercials. It was a great experience.”
The new Facebook adverts feature water balloons, horse riding, snakes and retired British athlete Dame Kelly Holmes.
