Roland Dransfield PR partners with charity Cheshire Connect
MANCHESTER PR agency Roland Dransfield is proud to be working with local charity Cheshire Connect to encourage closer collaboration between business and charity.
Roland Dransfield PR will support Cheshire Connect in raising awareness of the organisation which matches relevant skills and expertise from the business community to resource that is much needed within the charity sector.
Skills offered by businesses include financial forecasting, website development, HR advice and marketing either for short term projects or on a longer term basis.
As the charity continues to grow, Roland Dransfield will assist with PR, content and social media strategy on a pro bono basis to ensure the charity’s message is as far reaching as possible and encourages others to connect.
Established in 2011 by David Briggs, the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, Cheshire Connect is managed by CEO Donna Okell and Mark Ellis, chairman of Ellis Whittam.
They have a team of seven business connectors, each of whom spends time developing knowledge of their community and understanding its needs.
They build strong relationships with charities, businesses and other partners to create opportunities which match generous offers of free business skills and expertise to the needs of charities.
Roland Dransfield PR’s associate director Caroline Aspinall said: “We are delighted to be supporting Cheshire Connect in creating a truly collaborative network of businesses and charities.
“We are hugely excited about this collaboration and pleased we’re able to use our PR, marketing and content skills to increase awareness of Cheshire Connect’s superb work.
“We would encourage any business within Cheshire to engage with Cheshire Connect. Sharing your business expertise, skills and experience can really be of tremendous benefit to a local charity who may be lacking in those key areas.”
Cheshire Connect currently operates in eight areas of Cheshire; namely Cheshire West and Chester, Weaver Valley, Warrington, Halton, Crewe and South Cheshire, Macclesfield and Stockport, Knutsford and Holmes Chapel, and Congleton and Sandbach.
Donna Okell, CEO of Cheshire Connect said: “We have chosen Roland Dransfield to help us through a key period of expansion to build our network of businesses and charities across Cheshire.
“Their guidance is going to be invaluable in ensuring our message is as far reaching as possible and we are extremely grateful for their professional support.
“With a dedicated team behind us who really understand the needs of the organisation, we can look forward to a fruitful year ahead matching up more and more relevant businesses with charities.”
