Woods Squared shortlisted for three industry awards

Wirral accountants, Woods Squared, have announced that they are in the running for several awards at this year’s British Accountancy Awards.

The firm, based in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, have been shortlisted in not one, but three separate categories at this year’s prestigious industry awards.

The awards attract entries from all over the country, from small local firms to the larger regional, national and global players and the criteria has been designed to pinpoint professional development and to highlight those that have demonstrated excellence in their profession during the last 12 months.

Speaking about their nominations, Alan Woods, Director of Woods Squared, said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for three separate awards. To be in the running personally for ‘Practitioner of the year’ is really wonderful, as is the Community award nomination for the support we offer to charities, the free mentoring work provide for new businesses, the career days we attend at local schools and guest lectures we present at universities. However, I’m most proud of our nomination for the ‘Independent firm of the year (North of England)’ as this is a whole team effort.”

The firm has seen huge organic growth over the last 12 months, following a substantial increase in the number of new clients and grew its turnover by 20% in 2014.

Alan added: “This has been another phenomenal year for the firm as we’ve continued to grow and strengthen our team with yet more qualified talent. Our fast-growing entrepreneurial clients tell us that our approach to helping them thrive is unique. We stay focused on delivering a service that sets us apart from our competitors and these three award nominations are testament to the hard work and contributions of all our team who continually strive to deliver the best for our clients.

The winners will be announced at a glittering industry gala ceremony in central London on 24th November 2015.
